Algae to preserve the environment
Offering an algae-based paint allows us to obtain a paint that is up to 98% bio-sourced and contains less than 0.5 g/VOC per liter . By avoiding elements derived from petroleum chemistry in our paints, Algo offers a paint that is healthy for the user and respectful of the environment.
Made in Brittany, the algae contained in our paints are harvested from the Bay of Iroise near Brest, a few kilometers from our production site!
Environmentally, algae does not encroach on land reserves intended to feed humans, and its treatment requires no fresh water, fertilizers, or pesticides.
A limited carbon footprint
Algo promotes short supply chains by integrating raw materials from local and renewable resources . Our paint benefits from a very low carbon footprint by promoting local economic synergies and a short supply chain that reduces CO2 emissions and the carbon footprint.

Since paint is a major source of indoor pollutants, we provide a concrete solution by offering a product labeled by the Ecolabel and certified A+ in terms of emissivity in indoor air. Indoor pollution is the biggest cause of respiratory diseases according to allergists. Today we spend 80% of our time in enclosed spaces, the use of bio-sourced materials therefore considerably reduces the release of volatile organic compounds !
