Sometimes there are situations, unexpected moments that bring joy to everyone.
This is what the Algo team felt on November 25th when the 8pm news on TF1 broadcast a report on a trend that is renewing itself, a hobby and a passion that brings us together and unites us all in these difficult times: DIY.
This report highlights individuals who are thirsty for renewal and who all have one thing in common: bringing a breath of fresh air to their interiors.
For a short moment, we see one of our customers , Martine, applying our paint in front of the camera, and more precisely our shade " Fascinating Blue ", now called " Dragonfly Blue of our Rivers ".
Focus on this unusual moment with our star in a report:
- Hello Martine, first of all a big thank you for spontaneously highlighting our paintings during your appearance on TF1 , can you briefly introduce yourself?
I am an independent trainer and I run my own company. I live in Lille but I love the sea and Brittany . I am there whenever I can and my greatest pleasure is to find myself in or on the water (windsurfing, paddleboarding, sailing, swimming, etc.).
I have my own house and I love DIY , especially painting and looking after my garden.
The lockdown allowed me to make good progress.
- How did you end up in front of the cameras?
Manomano , of which I am a customer, was looking for someone living in the Lille region who enjoyed DIY and had taken advantage of the lockdown to carry out some work. And, of course, someone who had shopped online.
- For a moment, we see you applying our paint, how did you become familiar with our paints?
By Manomano! I really liked the fact that they are organically sourced because I try, at my level, to make sure to make "responsible" purchases. It also seems to me that the products are packaged by people with disabilities (I think I saw this information in the description...). Made in France (and what's more in Brittany 😉 ): a criterion that counted.
- What feedback have you received following your work?
I really like the colors I used on some of the walls. Of course, three coats are needed for the bold colors, but the result is perfect!
In addition, application and cleaning are easy. As for the smell: almost non-existent.
- You have applied many shades from our color chart, which is your favorite?
Meaban Gray, which looks really good on ready-to-paint closet doors. But I also really like Fascinating Blue. I was inspired by interior designer Sarah Lavoine's book (Couleurs Sarah) and then looked for Algo colors.
I can thus bring my rooms to life by painting the walls with different colors in order to bring in more light, an effect to give volume or simply an ambiance.
A big thank you to Martine for spontaneously highlighting our paintings, but also to you who contribute to supporting a local economy with short circuits and working to preserve the environment.
