Winner of the Grand Prix Entreprises et Environnement awarded in December 2014 by the Ministry of the Environment and Ecology, ALGO® was invited to participate in the European Grand Prix last November.
The European Business Awards for the Environment is a European Commission initiative held every three years. It recognizes companies that demonstrate their commitment to integrating sustainable development into their business model.
This year, the awards ceremony took place in Tallinn, Estonia, from October 27 to 28, 2016. Out of more than 150 applications submitted, we were privileged to be one of two French companies nominated for this major European award. This demonstrates the quality and relevance of the ALGO® concept, as well as the growing awareness of the environmental and societal challenges associated with indoor air quality in homes.
Thanks to a strong R&D team and strong partnerships with research laboratories, our company was honored. The ALGO range is made from up to 98% bio-sourced materials. It emits less than 1g/L of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the product has obtained the A+ pictogram for VOC emissions. ALGO® paint clearly contributes to the indoor air quality of our homes.
The ALGO® range contributes to the development of the bio-sourced construction materials sector advocated by the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Ecology. The Law of August 17, 2016, relating to the energy transition for green growth supports this positive dynamic.
The award of this new prize allows us to bring a European dimension to the project.
