Le tour de France éco-responsable de Julien Moreau !

Julien Moreau's eco-responsible Tour de France!

A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Julien Moreau: an athlete committed to the environment, encouraging people to support environmental causes.
On May 2, 2018, Julien Moreau embarked on a totally crazy challenge: an “extreme Tour de France.”

More than a challenge: a world record

Combining swimming, running, and cycling, Julien aimed to complete a journey of nearly 6,000 km. A true adventure dedicated to the environment, experience our eco-adventurer 's performance with Algo® today, on day 162 of his journey.

While this Tour de France represents a true symbol of environmental conservation, it is also a personal challenge for Julien. Successful completion of this triathlon would break the world record for the longest triathlon, currently held by Norma Bastidas.

Julien is on the final leg of his journey , having been running to Paris since September 12. The Saint-Malo native's stated goal is to reach the capital before the end of the month.

The course was physically very challenging, and Julien was eight days behind schedule. However, the journey and the determination he displayed were extraordinary, as Julien faced the challenge of fatigue and his desire to raise awareness among schoolchildren about respecting the planet.

To give you an idea, the longest triathlon in the world represents approximately 30 kilometers to be covered each day on average for Julien, between 1 and two days of rest per week.

A very present mental fatigue which does not prevent Julien from thinking about the success of his other challenge, quite the contrary...

Algo partners with Julien to raise environmental awareness among young people

While traveling across France, Julien has already raised awareness of October 5 among 3,300 schoolchildren by visiting 40 schools and given 53 conferences across the country since the beginning of his adventure.

"We're going to ask them to come up with legislative proposals but also to implement very concrete actions." Julien Moreau

This crazy yet committed project even allows the eco-adventurer to put into place legislative proposals: such as banning plastic bottles in schools and replacing them with water fountains! This proposed law will save money and, above all, limit waste for the environment.

Very sensitive to the environment, Algo® supports and wishes to promote this initiative in favor of the environment.
