Modern, yet above all relaxing, shades of sea green offer many advantages, including its brightness. It is also known for bringing a certain serenity to the space in which it is applied.
The undeniable strong point of water green paint is also its ability to be used in all rooms of the house.
This article will therefore highlight the different water greens that we offer with some advice on how to enhance these shades on the walls of your interior.
Sea green is a paint shade that consists of green with a blueish tint. Soft and refreshing at the same time, sea green comes in a wide variety of colors.
It is therefore not abnormal that the type of sea green you are going to apply can vary from a more blue color to more green shades.
Which finish should I choose for my water green?
We offer 3 types of finish for all the colors we sell: matte, satin, velvet.
As for the walls, we would rather recommend a satin or velvet finish.
Rest assured, the paint finish will have no impact on the color of your sea green shade.
However, it is important to take the finish into consideration because it will have a considerable influence on the final result.
For damaged walls, a matte finish is ideal. This finish is not very bright and will therefore not highlight the wall's imperfections.
However, velvet and satin are ideal for your walls. If you want to use your sea green in damp rooms like the kitchen or bathroom (and sea green is particularly suitable for this), then a satin finish is highly recommended due to the washable nature of this shade.
The velvet finish, particularly fashionable at the moment, will find its place in a living room or bedroom.
What are the benefits of sea green paint?
If you're still hesitant to take the plunge and use sea green paint, here are the special features of this shade that will convince you.
Sea green is a soothing shade that creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It's a favorite color for bedrooms or bathrooms.
Versatility is a versatile color and can be combined with different decorative styles, making this shade suitable for a large majority of rooms in the house.
Finally, this type of soft color will make rooms feel more spacious and bright. This type of color will reflect light. This color will be even more reliable when applied in small spaces or in dimly lit rooms.
Sea green can sometimes be considered a “too cool” color. The reasons for this dislike are simple: the color is associated with colors that don’t complement sea green well.
To avoid color-related disappointments, don't hesitate to combine sea green with warm decorative elements like wood or simply plants to accentuate a natural atmosphere.
What colors should I use with water green?
As seen previously, water green paint is a color full of meaning if you know how to combine it.
There are many colors that are perfectly compatible with water greens.
First of all, we can mention neutral and timeless colors: among them, white is probably the easiest color to combine with sea green.
White will have the advantage of amplifying the brightness of the room while highlighting the softness of the water green.
Light gray is also a good alternative: sophisticated and modern, gray will find its place perfectly in this color combination and will enhance the water green.
More generally, we recommend pastel tones which will be completely consistent with water greens.
If we mentioned neutral colors: greens and light blues will offer beautiful shades.
Powder pink is also a good alternative for decorating children's rooms.
In which rooms should you use sea green?
Sea green is a versatile color, but it will be even more effective in humid rooms like kitchens or bathrooms.
Dare to use sea green as a total look or on a section of wall to bring a bit of freshness.
Applied to the walls of a dining room, water green will bring a feeling of space and also cleanliness.
In a bedroom, whether it's a child's room or a master bedroom, sea green is very popular.
Some tips for applying sea green paint
This is advice we give regularly: don't skip the undercoat, applying a coat of primer is highly recommended to achieve a consistent and uniform result.
You can apply the paint with a roller or spray gun, and dilution may be considered.
If applying with a roller, be sure to use a 12 or 14mm microfiber roller.
The quantity needed to make the dish must be calculated in advance: so choose the right container. We sell containers ranging from 0.5 liters to 5 liters.
