In our opinion, here are some characteristics to analyze before choosing your white paint.

First of all, the washability of the paint is an important criterion, even essential depending on the room or the supports in which you will use the white paint. The finish is generally reliable information on whether your product is washable or not. It is customary for a matte finish to not be washable, or at least much less so than a satin finish, for example.

Paint coverage and opacity are also something you should keep in mind! While we often compare the price of paint per can or per liter, you should know that depending on the coverage displayed, you will have to use more or less paint. An average coverage of a can of white paint is between 8 and 10 m2 per liter. Some paints can offer a higher coverage, such as Algo paints with a coverage of 12 m2/liter.

Velvet is very fashionable at the moment, both for its finish and its characteristics, as it combines the advantages of both matte and satin. It is ideal for any room in the house, except perhaps for damp rooms, where we recommend satin.

The satin finish is considered the glossiest available: it is very useful in humid rooms and is rightly considered the most washable finish possible. Therefore, choose satin for painting in high-traffic areas.
