Visit the village on the Route du Rhum!
Since Wednesday, October 24 , the Route du Rhum village has opened its doors to the delight of enthusiasts and the curious. Before the start of the race this Sunday, the Route du Rhum village is planning a series of activities aimed at bringing sailing enthusiasts together around this historic race, where it will even be possible to visit the boat that won the Route du Rhum in 1998!
In addition to a large number of activities that are sure to delight the many visitors, the Route du Rhum is above all a certain diversity among the sailboats present . No fewer than 6 categories will be represented from Sunday, November 4: the Ultime, the multi 50 and the Rhum Multi for multihulls.
As for monohulls , there are also 3 categories : Imoca, Class 40 and Rhum Mono .
Visiting the Route du Rhum village is also an opportunity to attend the activities offered by the village, which will be open until November 4.

Passionate about sailing, Sébastien told us that it was his father who introduced him to sailing when he was 7 years old. On November 4, 2018, at the time of departure, Sébastien will celebrate his 47th birthday. The opportunity for our skipper to participate in his first Route du Rhum following a brilliantly successful qualifying event. To be as close as possible to our skipper's boat, go to the Vaudan basin where you will find many Rhum Multi, Rhum Mono, Class 40 and 50 among the 123 participants in this 11th Route du Rhum (absolute record for the event).
A true human and sporting adventure , the entire Algo® team thanks Sébastien Desquesses for this challenge, which is as exciting as it is fascinating.
As Sébastien explains, the primary goal is to experience this adventure as intensely as possible. However, he hopes to finish on the podium in the Class 40 vintage category!
